Greensboro Outlasts JWU Volleyball in Four

Charlotte, NC - The Johnson & Wales volleyball team fell in four sets to visiting Greensboro College on Thursday, losing 10-25, 24-26, 25-23, 18-25.

Lucy Herrmann finished with a team high nine kills for the Lady Wildcats (8-3), while Madison Steed chipped in with eight kills.

Donna Harris posted 18 assists while Halle Franklin came up with 37 digs for Johnson & Wales.

"Our young team is really being tested at this point," said head coach Callie Phillips.  "We will continue to work on our confidence in the face of adversity and how we respond to pressure.  We'll bounce back soon."

The Lady Wildcats resume play on Tuesday when they travel to Greenville, SC, to play Bob Jones University.  Play begins at 7:00 p.m.
